Maluku is a region of Indonesia located between Sulawesi and Papua, divided into two provinces North Maluku and Maluku. Historically, it is known as the "Spice Islands" which drew Indian, Chinese, Arab and eventually European traders in search of cloves and nutmeg.
Maluku's history has experienced long turbulent period, the traces can still be found in the islands, but for visitors, the great attraction is beaches, sea gardens and the beauty of the land.
